The Intro to Encaustic is a super fun, completely hands on introduction to this ancient medium in a supportive environment where experimentation is strongly encouraged. Instruction includes: set up, proper working temperatures, safety, traditional and non-traditional tools, and traditional and non-traditional color formulas. Proper fusing, incising, transferring simple drawings onto your wax surface, mark making, adding textures and many more techniques will be explored.
This workshop will be at the Plaza Art Store's new location at Kenwood in Cincinnati. They now have a wonderful workshop space !
