Off of the Work Bench:
I am in love with vintage tin type photos.
I seem to search for them everywhere I roam.
I am a very picky girl though.
I like when they look happy.
Or at least pleased with life.
This is a hard thing to find when looking at very early photos.

This is a hard thing to find when looking at very early photos.
I have heard a mix of theories on this. One, is exposure time, that one had to sit in the same position for an extended period of time, making a smile impossible to hold.
The other, is that it simply was not fashionable to forge a smile that was not genuine. 
"To Rose With Love"
I think that in the end a mix of both theories are probably true. Still , some photos just jump out at me as exceptionally lovely, sweet, possibly mysterious, or show a vibrancy for life! I enjoy collecting these treasures, like anything else one "collects", they speak to me with a purpose, and I leave the rest behind.
