Wax on Wednesdays Let's Try It Study with Masking Fluid
This week for Wax on Wednesdays a little technique study with Masking fluid !
I fell in love with the fine tip applicator on the masking fluid and saw a wonderful opportunity for some fine line abstract mark making and adding wonderful contrast . Usually before I begin a formal painting with a new tool , medium, etc I will try it out in lots of different ways to see what works and what doesn't.
I tried the masking fluid on several different papers with both Pan Pastels and R and F oil paint sticks as pigments . I also experimented with removing the masking fluid both before and after the papers had been waxed with encaustic medium.
