My Broken China Jewelry Workshop

My "Broken China Jewelry" workshop is tonight. Yeah! These are just some of the Vintage pieces I am taking for my students to make " Beautiful."

I like to label the history of each one for them so they know the original pattern name and how old it is etc. The china I use spans from 1860's through the 1950s. Everyone has their favorite. Some like Chintz and shabby roses, some transferware, flow blue, etc. So , if you are in my workshop tonight here is some of you
r pickin's !

I really enjoy teaching these workshops. We have so much fun! I have met a lot of wonderful people .

There is still time to sign up for the "I Shop Vintage" Pendant giveaway. Simply leave a comment on the Friday Feb. 22 post . I will take names until Saturday March 1, and the drawing will be March 2nd.

Snow Snow Snow so Adding to my Giveaway

Snow Snow Snow and more Snow SO.........

Doing my little spring dance does not seem to help, so I am going to add to my blog "Think Spring Giveaway" . I am throwing in the peeps!

Ok, so did you know that the peeps started in the early 1950s?
Did you know back then that it took 27 hours to make one chick?
Mabey you did , but did you know they actually have
fan clubs for Peeps!

I couldn't let the peeps go out to the winner undressed of course. So, here they are in their Easter finest.

Wrapped in a little shabby vintage wallpaper , and 1800s ledger paper as well , to have more fun after you eat your Peeps.

One more fact: peeps have only 32 calories and 0 grams fat!

Yes , as you ladies can probably tell by the fact that I researched Peep trivia. And, as my friends in sunny California, especially Barbara, who will be quick to point out as soon as she reads this, I am going a little Peepin' stir crazy! This girl needs some sunshine!

To sign up for my giveaway for the "I shop Vintage" pendant (and the peeps!) just leave a comment on the previous post. The drawing will be on March 2.

This is one of my favorites. It pretty much says it all!
The back features shabby pink vintage wall paper from the 1940s.

Here in the Mid West I have found is a little different than California for Antique shows. The show season usually runs April through Oct. for outside venues. With a few very nice indoor ones in March. There are those markets that switch to indoors during the winter, but they are a little far for me to want to travel in this icky weather.
Another reason for me to long for spring!
Today is the second snow day we have had this week, and I am ready for some Spring blooms and Vintage shopping!
In honor of that "Spring" anticipation, I am going to have a giveaway.
I will be giving away the "I shop Vintage " pendant on Sunday March 2 . To sign up for a chance to win just leave a comment and I will add you to the "Hat" for the drawing.

Something New at Staffordshire Garden Designs

Something New at Staffordshire Garden Designs
I am so excited about the new designs , but...
they are not ready yet. I wish there were 36 hrs in everyday so that I could tend to everything I want to do! I am also working on giving my studio a great big pre-spring overhaul after the Christmas Chaos. Complete organization, will it ever happen?
