Get Ready Get Set Part 1 and Flea Market Friday

Some more shots from the studio this week, before there is nothing left!
Everything has to be shipped to Tucson for th
e Bead and Design Show by
the 29th. Hopefully, I will get a chance for some
photos before the kits and goodies are all packed.

These are vintage millinery flowers that are still bundled in their original
bouquets with the paper Czecholsovakia label still attatched. I love , Love , LOVE , the old velvet millinery flowers.
These are
my new
"love~ of~ the~ week!"

They are coming with me to Tucson.
Things you can NEVER have too many of~Glass Jars!

...and vintage prisms ,(of course).

I also love getting "After Christmas presents" and this was one was wonderful.

My friend Trish of Tattered Rose
sent me this wonderful candy from the famous Schimpff's in Indiana.
I have felt 6 other eyes already on it , so I may have to hide it down in the studio
(under a pile of paper scraps!)

She also sent me the atcs from our fun swap. How cute they are!

And , a beautiful hand made card by Trish herself.

and, last but not least,
a velvet vintage millinery flower.

How did she know?

We have a new (Old )look!
Click the photo above to visit Staffordshire Garden Designs
and tell me what you think of the new banner.

For the next couple of weeks, (until I return from the Tucson Show) we are going to keep the Flea Market Friday at free shipping for the whole weekend through Sunday at midnight. If you make a purchase on Staffordshire Garden Designs, I will send you a refund for shipping charges within 12 hours (usually within 2) through Pay Pal.

Flea Market Friday and Some Pretties from the Studio

Today a few shots of my studio.
I had hoped to have another kit put together , but I had quite a bit of
shipping to do this week. I have high hopes f
or the weekend though!
I believe it might be a high of a whole 5 degr
ees here today, and through the weekend,
so I pretty much plan to stay inside and get a ton of things done.
At one point with the wind chill, it supposed to be -14. The t
rip to Tucson Bead show in a few weeks is looking better and better! I might forget my fear of flying yet.

I love my old bottles for all my vintage crystal beads. I plan on creating some
stoppers for them, but haven't gotten that far yet.

I "could" back up and show the whole studio,
but with the whirlwind that happened in ther
e this week, that's definitely not going to happen.
Piles and Piles of paper scraps, and lace are not pretty.
(when on the floor)

For flea market Friday, anything in the store that is Valentines will have free priority shipping! This offer is good through the weekend, until midnight Sunday. Please email me so that I can send you a separate invoice with the free shipping included.

There are a few Vintage Valentine Bracelet kits left on my Etsy and Lollishop.

New Vintage Solder Charm Kits, and Much More!

I have so many things to share this week, but I think am going to have
do it in spurts.

First of all some exciting new kits are finally coming together .
Some of them will be jewelry kits , and others will be f
rilly, shabby , sparkly , vintage , mixed media goodies and fun projects. In all of them I wanted to share with you my vintage goodies .
I most definitely am a hoarder of anything that was once upon a time "Beautiful", but now old , chippy, rusty, lost , stashed away , or forgotten . And if there is 100 or more of something fabulous and vintage,
I am a very happy girl.
Of course "Fabulous" is all in the eye of the beholder...

During the antique show season here , I am lucky enough to have many dealer friends who know my crazy passion for what they consider odd collecting habits, and the even crazier ways (to them,)I choose
to use them.
I think now some of them are just plain afraid to ask.
"Deconstruction" is not a pretty word in the antique world. "Salvaged" and "rescued" sounds much better .

Some yummy rhinestone buttons that found their way to me on Saturday.
Kit #1
Valentine Ready~Set~Solder~Kit

This kit has a is all "hand aged sterling silver" with beautiful vintage Austrian
pink crystals and vintage prism. All kits come with a beautiful 1930s very shabby rose pattern wallpaper to b
ack your charms with.

Comes with Everything to make your bracelet.
Literally all you need is a soldering iron!

Due to the fact that my vintage stash does have it's limitations this kit
#1 is limited to 12.

They will be available on My Etsy Staffordshire Garden Designs Store

and on my Lollishops Staffordshire Garden Designs store

Something to Share
Ok , now I have one more thing to share.
Over the weekend I had the opportunity to
see Cathy Scalise's New Web site "Elegance and Whimsy"

I was completely blown away.
I stared at the introduction alone for as long as it would allow me to. I showed my husband , my son, my daughter, and anyone else
passing by the computer in my office. The post lady is lucky I didn't drag her in to see (maybe next delivery) Wow!
Way to go Cathy! Both the site and the goodies o
ffered on it are delicious all the way through!
follow the banner link to see it yourself.

Refreshed for 2009 and Flea Market Friday

Well... the banner and background got a whole new look. It's probably a far cry from being done. I will probably end up changing it a couple dozen times before I am satisfied.
I LOVE seeing all of the beautiful and truly
only way to describe some are
~ "Magical" ~banners of all the talented artists and web designers out there. I can only dream , enjoy, ....and keep plucking!I "pluck" away at the digital art the best I can. I am lucky that I have a sixteen year old who is extremely computer savvy (just rebuilt school's website). How many 16 year old boys do you know that would go along with their mother handing them a bunch of vintage jewelry and say "please make these into photo shop brushes for me. " He can only handle all the frou frou , sparkles, and pink, in short spurts however, before it becomes a little much for him. Although he is always very sweet about it. His stylings are much more "guy like" and contemporary. I try and gauge my moments. Love you Mason!
Ok, I changed the song just for this week only, to start out the new year. I generally do like to listen to easier more classical music especially when working. ( hope it didn't startle anyone!) But , I am partial to Nickelback on occasion, and this one spoke to me this week. Something for me to think about every day as my New Years resolution.

think that
I get started on a similar resolution every year . It seems so simple. To not rush through , and rush past, and make each part of your day meaning
ful and enjoy everyone in it. Each conversation whether family, friend, or a stranger. Each task , whether it is putting a cheerful note in a 7 year old's lunch, or in my work , trying to push past the comfortable barriers that make me afraid to go farther.
But , somewhere along the way especially starting probably in the fall... .

I loose it.

And I know I will , I see it coming. But, I convince myself that I will not stop practicing. And, each year when I renew my resolution maybe I will get a little farther,a little better at it . Before it's lost in the shuffle, hustle, and bustle.
And, yes Barbara if you read this ~I WILL call this weekend promise! (BFF)
