And the Winners are.....
The winner of the blog follower giveaway for the gift pack of vintage treasures and findings to create with is

Kathleen Kibblehouse

YAY ! Congratulations Kathleen !

The winner of the Vintage Frozen Charlotte necklace had a great eye for guessing games at the age of 8, and apparently her flair for them is still running strong ! With a guess of 91 it is Tiff of the Cranky Queen YAY Congratulations ! The actual number of gears in the jar is 93.

Each winner will receive a tassel that I added into the mix on Monday , as I did not specify which giveaway it would be included in.

Shari , what in the world did you use for the head of that tassel you ask? (Tee Hee) They are actually bullet shells that have been whimsically etched, and then given an aged patina. (My husband officially thought I lost it ) But, they came out soooo pretty! They are also in the web sale offering for you to play with tonight!

Giveaway Time! and Web Sale Info

I am posting 2 posts at once today right in a row, sorry for confusion. There was a lot to show today :)
Ok, first let me tell you, that the

Web Sale will be Tuesday night at 9pm Eastern Time.

I will be listing them on Etsy to make it easier . But, I will also post here on the blog, with a photo of each item, and the direct link to that listing if you click on the picture of the item you want to see. Now for the fun part! What did I get this weekend ? Well, I met 2 ladies (Kathy, and Terri of Nostalgia's Cottage in Ohio). And, among all of the beautiful wares of their booth, they had jars, and jars, ......and jars, of wonderful vintage Clock parts!
I felt like I hoarded a little :) ,
but now I wish I would got even more! Because I just truly love them! Faces, and gears, and bases, and innerds of all sizes .
For the giveaway, I put gears only in this jar. For the first giveaway, guess how many clock gears I put in. Leave a comment , with your best guess.
Make sure you have your email information either in your profile, or in your comment so that I may notify
you if you are the winner :) What do you win if you are the closest guess? This little vintage Charlotte necklace (charlotte c. 1890-1900). Her brass back plate was etched by me. She has a little steam punkie top hat (also etched by me), with a little feminine very vintage bling added . She is signed and dated on the back. Next , I always like to say a great big "Thank You" to the wonderful followers of this blog. :)So, I have put together a little package of goodies to play with for the next giveaway. There are some vintage clock gears, a vintage skeleton key, vintage frozen Charlotte, brass head pins with a lovely vintage patina, 3+ yards of lovely stained binding ribbon, and a brass bracelet that I have etched, and is waiting to be adorned. If you are a follower of Playswithpaper, then guess what? You are already entered in this giveaway!
If you would like to follow this blog , I will enter all followers as of Tuesday April 26, 8:00pm.
I may just be adding more to this goody bag this weekend :).
Ooops almost forgot ! The winners of both giveaways will be announced on Tuesday April 26 on the Web Sale Post :)

Apr 19, 2011

Artiscape was so much fun, and I have several photos of wonderful ladies working hard, and creating absolutely beautiful pieces in the workshops. I truly enjoyed seeing each one of these ladies pieces evolve into these wonderful works of art, and we had such a good time. We had full houses in both workshops , so I will post the Paris Journal workshop photos today and post the photos of the button fairy bracelet class tomorrow to fit them all in. Unfortunately while I was there, I caught some sort of nasty bug, and then lost my voice! At first I thought it was just projecting my voice over all of our creative busy work (hammering, and filing away :) , but it turned out to be a little more than that. Luckily it didn't really turn bad until after my last workshop was finished. I pushed through it quickly . You just gotta do what you gotta do :), and I am on the mend now I think, and can hear a little bit of my voice today through all the high squeaks LOL. The vendor fair on Sunday was fun as well , and I got to see what some of the wonderful things people created in the other workshops, and I enjoyed that alot. The vendor fair was very small but charming. There were actually only seven of us at the vendor fair , and it was in a very pretty old "Topiary Gatehouse" with gardens in the back. I wish I had some photos of that to show as well. (afterthoughts). I loved seeing all of the beautiful creations the other ladies brought! And, met some very nice people, even though I was so embarrassed that I could only let out this horrible squeak when I spoke!
Well that brings me to my other news. Here it has been a while since we have had a good giveaway, and I just past my 150th post! So, I think some fun is definitely in order. Don't you? Tomorrow, I will post all the details of these giveaway goodies , with a game in order of course! I will be giving away some fun vintage supplies to create with, that I have acquired and want to share with you, and also a finished piece that I hope you will like. Finally, (promise , I know this is a long one) I have some goodies left from the vendor fair and will be having a web sale on the same day I draw the winners for the giveaways. Since Sunday is Easter, I will be posting all of this on Tuesday April 26th. And , I will give more details tomorrow when I post the what the goodies for the giveaway are.
Until tomorrow then!
Blessings ,
